TEORÍA Y PRAXIS SOCIAL UN ANÁLISIS CRÍTICO DE LA SOCIEDAD, a journal published by the Centro de Estudios Superiores en Ciencias Jurídicas y Criminológicas (CESCIJUC), is a platform aimed at enriching academic debate on socio-legal phenomena through an analytical, committed, and multidisciplinary perspective.
This editorial endeavor is grounded in the conviction that law must be understood in its interrelation with the historical, political, economic, and cultural processes that shape it. Rather than conceiving the legal system as a merely technical or neutral domain, this journal seeks to foster reflection on its structuring role within profoundly unequal societies, where access to justice remains conditioned by social, economic, and symbolic factors.
Our aim is to create a platform for dialogue between law and the social sciences, open to rigorous research and critical essays that interrogate legal frameworks, institutional practices, and the actors engaged in their production, interpretation, and enforcement. In this regard, the journal also assumes a pedagogical function: cultivating critical readership, providing robust conceptual tools, and contributing to the strengthening of legal culture.
